Daddy left early Tuesday morning. The girls have missed him and look all over for him. They are starting to realize that he isn't here and that they have to talk to him on the phone. We have been staying busy going to the beach, running errands, hitting the park and just playing outside. We even took a little road trip to North Salem, New York for a wedding on Saturday.
Playing around outside Tuesday afternoon.
It rained on and off on Wednesday but we managed to get some play time in on the front patio.
This is really a hug, it just looks like an attack.
The weather finally got nice again on Friday and we had a very fun filled day. We started our morning by walking to the park.
Madi showing off her mad skills.
After a quick nap we hit the beach.
Then came home and played in the sprinkler/pool.
After dinner we played outside with the little bunny that lives in the bushes under the flagpole. It would come up so close to Madi and BB. It was so cute.
Saturday morning we got in the car with BB and Uncle Jake and drove to North Salem, New York for the wedding of Susie Romanski's daughter Charlotte. Susie is BB's cousin and dearest friend. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Every little detail was perfect and quite frankly so were the girls. I don't know what happened to my children that night but they couldn't have been more well behaved. I am still in shock. They barely slept during our five hour drive and it was so hot and humid I thought for sure we would have scary melt downs, but they proved me wrong; way wrong! Susie lined up a young girl named Lilly to come and help with the girls. I was a little nervous especially about Madi because she is very attached to me these days. It turns out Lilly is magic. Both girls took to her right away and really enjoyed playing with her. I didn't know what to do with myself. It was very sweet and wonderful to see. Sitting and having a snack at the reception.
Playing with dear, sweet Lilly. I am pretty sure Emma would have loved to take Lilly home with us, and so would've I.
Playing with the rocks, not surprising.
After our long drive home and a quick rest we hit the beach to beat the heat. Right where we parked there was a great little tide pool for the girls to splash around it. The water was so warm.
