Spring is Here!

The last week has been absolutely beautiful.  I believe today may have been near 70 degrees.  The girls and I have been able to spend a lot of time outside.  Today we just went down to a neighborhood park and they ran around for 2 hours.  Then (the best part) they took a 3 hour nap.  I like days like this.  IMG_0246 copy IMG_0268 copy IMG_0278 copy

Grandma BB and Uncle Jake

After our wonderful week in Arizona the fun didn't end.  On Thursday Grandma BB and Uncle Jake came in from Boston for the weekend.  We had a great time hanging around the house and yard and took an adventure over to Kingston and Bainbridge Island for the girls' first Seattle ferry boat ride.

Easter in Arizona

Nana and Papa rented a house in Phoenix for a couple months to check out the area and get some sun.  I decided it would be fun to take the girls down there for a week and get some sun ourselves.  We decided Easter weekend was a great time.  Auntie Katie was on spring break so she and Uncle Ryan were down there too.  Then Auntie Kendra decided she wanted to go too.  Once Auntie Kiersten found out we would all be there she packed up Caroline, Nicholas and Molly in the car and drove 16 hours from San Antonio to join the fun.  It was a great little trip.  The girls had a lot of fun and I loved the weather.  IMG_9227 Hanging pool side.IMG_9430 IMG_9215

At the playground.  Emma had the best time running around with Caroline.  She loves big kids.IMG_9293 IMG_9257 IMG_9252 IMG_9323 Nicholas, Emma and Caroline walking hand in hand on the way back to the house.

Field trips

Yesterday we took a family field trip to Discovery Park in Magnolia.  We had to try out the girls' new backpacks.  It is way easier to carry them in these, say bye bye to the bjorns.  Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed on the beach so we couldn't take full advantage of the park and the sun.  But it was a good little hike anyway.   IMG_8796 IMG_8806  IMG_8800-1IMG_8810IMG_8808 Madi was NOT happy about having to get back in her backpack.

Today's field trip was with some friends to Skagit Valley to look at all the beautiful flowers.  The tulips weren't out yet but the daffodils were.

Susie's kids, Katie and Sarah were way more cooperative than my kids.  I got some great shots of them and only of few of Madi and Emma.
